chibiyen Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 Hi I'm new to using priceline. I am travelling to Chicago. I need to stay for 2 nights 9/12 to 9/14 and would like a 4*. I did see the post about the Celtic fair thing but there is a huge international manufacturing conference with over 92000 delegates during this time. Any advice on bidding? I did see someone with the same dates for $195...

chibiyen Posted August 29, 2008 Author Report Posted August 29, 2008 I that someone had a successful bid for $90...but is that realistic with this huge convention? The $90 is for dates other than your own, correct... the $195 is for the same dates as your? If so, the $195 would be more realistic. What is the best rate you're able to find for a 4* hotel in either of these zones? (use can use our BetterChecker to assist in your rate search)
chibiyen Posted August 31, 2008 Author Report Posted August 31, 2008 okay...I decided to forgo staying downtown chicago in order to save money and instead take the train. Another plus is I won't have to worry about parking since I can pick up the rental at O'Hare for the day I am leaving Chicago. I won a bid at the Hilton O'Hare at $65.Bid $50 at O'Hare was rejectedBid $60 at O'Hare and Lincoln Park was rejectedBid $65 at O'Hare, LP and Midway was accepted
