Priceline Hotel: help with resort or 4 star hotel in south beach

Is there a way for me to get the Loews or Sagamore hotel on priceline or hotwire? I am looking for travel dates toward the end of October and am willing to spend up to $200 a night. I tried to get a resort on priceline and bid up to $205, but kept getting rejected. Any ideas? I really want a higher end hotel.

You can not bid on a specific hotel. If you use PRICELINE you could receive any hotel in the zone at the star rating you select. With HOTWIRE you can often figure out the hotel by matching the amenities offered with what has been reported in the Hotwire Hotel List (still no guarnatees though, as there could always be more than one hotel with the same exact star rating and amenities)

Yes, I am going from 10/22 to 10/27.

I really want a resort, but not sure if there are any available, since I bid up to $205 and kept getting rejected.

We don't see many successful Resort bids in the South Beach... i think users often get frustrated at the high prices and move on to 4* properties.

The Loews is priced at $300/nite and the Sagamore at $365/nite... what is your maximum bid for a Resort rated hotel in the South Beach zone?

No, splitting is not an option for me.

I think the bid I maxed at ($205) is as high as I would like to go. It doesn't look possible.

I would be willing to pay this price if the hotel was a good one, like loews. I just don't want to bid more than $200 on priceline and get something I don't want. It has been difficult as no one has seemed to book any of these higher end hotels in south beach for sometime, so it is really hard to guess which hotel it is.
