cdc3030 Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 HI,I bid on priceline for 3 and 4*, montery pacific grove and monterey seaside 9/27-9/29 85$ and rebid at $90 rejected.Sorry, I didnt record the exact sequence, but I think it was 4* pacific grove, $85 then 3* pacific grove $85 then $90 4* seaside.Im not clear on what a reasonable bid is though, and am not sure if a 2.5* would be nice enough. we have a small baby, and really need someplace safe and clean! Thx
thereuare Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding!Using the known 3* hotels, the Hyatt and Marriott are both priced in the mid $300s while the Casa Munras is more reasonably priced at an average rate of $240/nite... but this still puts the amount you have bid at well under half the rate of a conventional booking. What is the best rate you're able to get thru a conventional booking at an acceptable hotel? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. thereuare Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 Perhaps you could help future users by letting us know where you booked and how much... it could be good info for others who are having trouble finding reasonably priced accomodations for their own stays in this area.
