Hotwire Hotel: Chicago - 08/23 - 08/24 - Need Help Bidding

I am trying to bid for a 1 night stay 08/23 - 08/24 on PRICELINE.

I am open to Lincoln Park, Michigan Ave, and Millenium Park areas.

I have tried bidding for 4*, 3*, and 2.5* in all these areas up to $110.

None of the bids starting from $75 a few days ago and keep going up in $5 increments each day after exhausting my tries w/in 24 hour period.

Any suggestions for bidding strategy, maximum bid, other deals outside of HOTWIRE / PRICELINE?

Any help would be very much appreciated (trying to impress my big brother by taking him out in the big city!).
