Looking on Priceline for a 4*, Midtown hotel. The stay is September 20 - September 24.

Is it reasonable to get something in the area of $200/night?

What bid should I start at?

Also, I checked out the wins database and I was wondering how comparable last year's results are to 2008 prices/hotels?

I'm seeing $360+, with the average probably around $500. Any ideas how much of a discount can I reasonably expect over the posted rates?

I'm guessing you're likely looking at high $200's-mid $300's, but even that may be optimistic at the moment. (unless the hotel you're refering to above is a 4* hotel and PRICELINE participant)

What 4* hotel are you seeing for $360+... is it a 'known' hotel that is used by PRICELINE?
