Bidding for hotel in Fin/Theater areas 3* and above for Sept 26th. So far no luck as high as 150. Am I bidding too early?

Rates are somewhat high for these dates, not sure what is happening, but we are getting into college football season, homecoming, etc, etc, and there are a LOT of colleges in the Boston area.

What is the best rate you're able to find thru conventional booking channels? (use our BetterChecker to assistin your rate search)

Best rate I can find is around $230. Now our plans have changed and I will need a hotel in boston (prefer Financial and Theater districts) for 9-26 and 9-27. I really don't want to go over about $150 if possible. I will also need a hotel by the airport on 10-1 due to an early morning flight. I am willing to take as low as a 2.5 star for that one as we just need a place to stay that offers shuttle to the airport. Not sure of my bidding strategy on that one as I won't have the rebid zones with a lower star rating. Any help is much appreciated.

I was able to get this rate at the Embassy Suites by the airport and have booked this as a backup. I would really like to be downtown area if possible and will keep trying

Still bidding every couple days for 9-26 and 9-27. I am not sure if one of those days is causing me a problem and I should try splitting my bid or if both Friday and Saturday are equally difficult to win. Any advice is appreciated. I am looking for a 4* in Copley or Financial areas.

Boston is often an expensive city and $150 is frequently not enough for a 4* hotel in these zones... you can try splitting your bid if you are willing to change hotels each nite, but i don't think that is likely the issue.
