gocougs Posted August 29, 2008 Author Report Posted August 29, 2008 Thanks for this board. I am really enjoying learning all the tricks to this
gocougs Posted August 29, 2008 Author Report Posted August 29, 2008 Best rate I can find is around $230. Now our plans have changed and I will need a hotel in boston (prefer Financial and Theater districts) for 9-26 and 9-27. I really don't want to go over about $150 if possible. I will also need a hotel by the airport on 10-1 due to an early morning flight. I am willing to take as low as a 2.5 star for that one as we just need a place to stay that offers shuttle to the airport. Not sure of my bidding strategy on that one as I won't have the rebid zones with a lower star rating. Any help is much appreciated.

gocougs Posted September 1, 2008 Author Report Posted September 1, 2008 At which hotel is this rate available?I was able to get this rate at the Embassy Suites by the airport and have booked this as a backup. I would really like to be downtown area if possible and will keep trying

gocougs Posted September 11, 2008 Author Report Posted September 11, 2008 Still bidding every couple days for 9-26 and 9-27. I am not sure if one of those days is causing me a problem and I should try splitting my bid or if both Friday and Saturday are equally difficult to win. Any advice is appreciated. I am looking for a 4* in Copley or Financial areas. Thanks!
thereuare Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 Boston is often an expensive city and $150 is frequently not enough for a 4* hotel in these zones... you can try splitting your bid if you are willing to change hotels each nite, but i don't think that is likely the issue. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. thereuare Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 Congratulations on your ultimate success!Glad to see that you decided to lower your star rating as i think a 4 star would have been difficult at this price and you managed to get a nice hotel... reviews are generally pretty good.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay.
