kris10rocks Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 I have never bid on PRICELINE but am considering it for our Oct trip. We are looking to stay at a 3* in the Universal area for 10/14-10/16. Just two adults. I've heard that some hotels charge a resort fee and for parking. Is there any way to find out which ones charge any of these fees? And how much? Thanks for any assistance!
thereuare Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding! There is no way to know which hotel you will receive and therefore can't figure out your total cost incluing parking and/or resort fees.If you need to know this you could try HOTWIRE for which you can often take an educated guess as to the property you will receive (based upon the star rating and amenities associated with the property) and then research the parking charege and/or resort fee (if any) for that property... still a slight risk since it's based upon your guessing the hotel correctly. However, i'll point out that the rates usually obatained from the 'opaque' services is discounted deep enough that it still ends up being cheaper than anything else you can book at that star rating, even when including any 'surprise' parking or resort fees. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
