adrilling Posted August 20, 2008 Author Report Posted August 20, 2008 TTI previously bid PRICELINE above to get better rate- with no luck. I have back up hotel of Millenium Broadway for $199 on Travelzoo promo with upgrade. I wanted a better sleeping bed. I have found what looks like Westin TS for $313 on HOTWIRE. But afraid the room will be traditional-lower level rooms without upgrade. Westin website showing 20% off 2 deal for $324 for delux king. Suggestions on other hotels or strategy.
thereuare Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 Is a 'nicer bed' worth an extra $100+ per nite to you? (for most here i don't think it would be)I could be wrong but i believe all the Westin rooms have the same bed construction, the 'delux' is refering to the room itself and not the bed. All PRICELINE and HOTWIRE purchases are for standard rooms, so if you're looking for something more than the 'standard' then the opaque providers are not likely the best option for you. If you do end up booking direct, please note as per our support page that we're an affiliate of the Westin and please use our links to make your reservation. However, your deal for the Millenium Broadway seems like a good one and i'm not really sure what you're looking for... you mention a better bed which i'm sure the Westin offers, but then you state that you're not sure if you'd be happy if it was an upgraded room, so i'm not really sure how to advise since it's not clear exactly what is important to you for this trip. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. adrilling Posted July 21, 2009 Author Report Posted July 21, 2009 Sorry, just forgot to post. I ended up with the Millienium through Travelzoo as a very lucky offer. :) Sorry. It was $199 for superior king upgrade. Too good to pass up. I strongly recommend the hotel! Room was very nice, partial view of Times Square and new flat screen TVs in room.
