AllyB Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Looking for some help with bidding for a Naples hotel for the dates 20 Oct to 25 Oct 2008. However, noticed that there's not much of a history for this on PRICELINE. There is a 4* on HOTWIRE, but I think from the look of it it's probably the Ritz Carlton Golf resort, which we're not keen on. Ideally we want to try and get something at the beach front, but thnk we may struggle. Any help would be appreciated. Will plan on using your PRICELINE link of course.
thereuare Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding! What is your maximum bid for a 4* in this zone? (NOTE: if you really want a Beachfront hotel i think HOTWIRE might be a better option if any hotels with the Beachfront icon are shown for your dates)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. AllyB Posted August 13, 2008 Author Report Posted August 13, 2008 We were seeing some good hotels for $250 or thereabouts, such as the grande, or the playa, so we were thinking around $200 as a max bid? Not sure if this is reasonable though?
thereuare Posted August 14, 2008 Report Posted August 14, 2008 While $200 may be a good price for the hotels you menioned, you also have the 4* rated Hilton Naples which is just $129/nite for your dates... would this be an acceptable outcome? Obvioulsy you'd want to reduce your maximum bid downward if you were to bid this zone... based upon this amount do you still want to bid on PRICELINE and what would be your maximum bid? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. yahooer Posted August 14, 2008 Report Posted August 14, 2008 Ally says she thinks 4* in Naples is Ritz Carlton Golf Resort. Does this hotel actually come up ever? We'd love to stay there.
thereuare Posted August 14, 2008 Report Posted August 14, 2008 All hotels reported to the board would be in our Priceline Hotel List and Hotwire Hotel List.I didn't look at the 4* property s/he was refering to so i can't say whether it was likely the Ritz or not, but i don't believe the Ritz Carlton in Naples has ever been reported to the board (and i question if it would be rated 4* by HOTWIRE)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
