We arrived around 3:30pm and was promptly helped by valet. We chose to do valet for $27 instead of parking it ourselves for $21. It was much more convenient, and the staff was always helpful. The front desk was very quick and checked us in within minutes.

Our room was much more than what we were expecting, based on other reviews we had read on travel websites. We got our king size bed that we requested, and the room was very spacious. More than enough for the two of us. We both enjoyed the plush bedding along with the extra pillows. We probably could have stayed in the bed for a majority of our three day stay. The flat screen TV was also an added bonus. The sink area was a little small but enough. The shower with a tub was nice, along with the overhead light.

This hotel is the best for its location. All you have to do is go down the escalator, out the doors, and you're on the Riverwalk right with the mall, boat tours, and shops. It's a little walk for the main stretch of restaurants, but it's so beautiful we definitely did not mind. We heard there were river taxis, but we never took one. Since this was our first time in San Antonio, this hotel helped us get into all of the action because it was right by everything. We ate lunch and got snacks from the food court in the mall for a reasonable price.

We didn't really utilize the front desk for recommendations of where to eat or directions. We just chose restaurants along the Riverwalk at random and generally got great food and service. Also, we had a GPS system to give us directions. The hotel did, however, have lots of fliers of where we went (don't recommend Schlitterbaun Waterpark because of the long, long lines, but we do recommend the Prime and Tanger outlet. Lots of great shopping about 45 minutes away). Also, the Starbucks in the lobby made it easy to get a quick drink in the morning, and the bar in the lobby stayed open long enough for us to get a late drink after we came back from the Riverwalk.

Our room was always very clean, and our free samples were always replenished (They were Bath and Body Works).

Really, we had no complaints or regrets. This is an amazing hotel, and we both agreed we would pay full price simply because of the location and the bed!
