Note: HOTWIRE is going for $31/$32 depending on when you look. This is ~$270 after taxes.

I just started low to see what happens since we are in no hurry. My wife and I each have an screen name on Priceline, so we will try 2 a day.

PRICELINE suggests $22 to $25 for acceptance. We're hoping for $20/$21.

Update: $20/$21 were rejected as well. PRICELINE has up'ed their recommended bids to $25 to $27. Tomorrow we'll try $22/$23.

If we don't get it for $25 we're going to stop for now and try again as it gets closer to our travel date.

If you do fail i would definately book a back-up (most car rental agencies will take a reservation without a credit card) to protect yoursel from prices rising while you continue to wait to bid again (we have links to most of the major companies in our support page)
