I just happened to stumble upon another thread of a person who was staying in Chicago on these same dates. That made it easy to see what might be accepted.

Used the PRICELINE link from BetterBidding

Starting bid of $75 for 4 star in Millennium Park, Loop & Grant Park Area- rejected

I rejected their counter offer of $97

Bid $85 after adding Midway Airport Area- accepted

I was pretty certain I would get the Hilton Chicago when I put in the bid at $85 and am pleased with the result. Now I am just hoping their free shuttle service is reliable as my wife is pregnant and the walk to shopping on the Magnificent Mile might be a bit much for us. Thanks for the help.

Worst case scenario, a taxi from the hotel to the NBC Tower (which is at the South end of the Michigan Ave. area - you can just tell the taxi to go there) should be about $5-6. $7 if there's somehow a lot of traffic/red lights.
