I think the secret to this is trying IMMEDIATELY after midnight. I had been trying either in the midmorning or evening for several days going from $85 and 4* adding $5 with each extra zone to $105 and failing everytime.

tried again today at about 1am in the morning... tried 4* at $85 and they offered me to increase my bid $22 and i would be able to make the exact same star rating and zone. but i refused it and went to $90 and added USW. got rejected... so i tried $95 and added fisherman's wharf. ACCEPTED! chaching!

pretty happy with this one. going to always bid at 1am in the morning from now on.

wow i'm trying to find one for the same night / same area / 4* and haven't been able to getting anything.. I've even been bidding up to $130.. guess i should be more patient

Congratulations on your win and thank you for sharing it with the board.

I wouldn't make any conclusions based upon your one experience. You just happened to bid after inventory was released... this can happen at any time of the day and there is no 'secret 1am' (or any other time to) bid... so i wouldn't bother staying up late to bid, better to bid get your sleep to make sure that you're alert enough to keep track of your re-bid zones.
