Priceline Hotel: Help needed for 3* hotel in Jersey City

i want to make the reservation at either Hyatt or DoubleTree in Jersey City on Aug 19 for one night. I had no luck up to bidding at $130. I have used the strategy of bidding 3* hotels in Jersey City at $100 and rejected, and then added another zone with no 3* hotel at $110 and rejected, and then added another zone with no 3* again at $120 and rejected, finally I closed my browser and used the link from this website then added those 3 zones at $130 and rejected.

Is it $130 still too low or im too late to bid for Hyatt or DoubleTree on Aug 19? Any suggestion on how to bid the hotel? Actually i my trip is in NYC, so i thought i may get a better deal in jersey city, can i get a hotel in NYC within my budget at $130? Thank you for helping

Rates are date specific, and this particular date is quite high in both Manhattan and Jersey City (all the known 2.5* and higher hotels in Jersey City are selling for $300+ on their own websites) and most of Manhattan is higher.

Is your budget flexible or do you want to consider another area of NJ which is 'commutable', although less convenient than Jersey City?
