goose Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 I just found this forum. Very cool.I also used PRICELINE for a night in downtown StL this Sat. Aug 2nd, 2 - four star rooms and got the same as the previous poster.Renaissance St Louis Grand & Suites Hotel 4-staraccepted bid was; Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $55.00Subtotal: $110.00Taxes & Service Fees: $25.46Total Charges*: $135.46Took a few times, probably since it was a baseball weekend, but it worked out well.We were staying downtown for a bachelor party and 4 guys used the 2 rooms. I immediately called the Renaissance after the bid acceptance and they were able to guarantee the rooms with 2 doubles as opposed to a king. I've used PRICELINE several times (especially in St. Louis) and that was my main concern, since I've never had to make that kind of request after being locked in to a bid. It's a nice hotel, especially for $34 per bed. Second time I've gotten this one through PRICELINE. I asked at the counter during check in what the rate would of been to book another room, to let my friends know what a deal they have, and the place was completely booked.
