carplips Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 I have been searching Hotwire for quite some time and saw a new hotel appear today. My search dates are 8/23-8/29 and today I got a whole new slew of hotels. The one I'm curious about has the following amenities: Suite, Smoke-Free, Fitness Room, Pool, Laundry, Hi-Speed Internet, and Kitchen. I'm guessing this is a TownePlace Suites or Residence Inn but its not on the master Hotwire list. Any ideas? Thanks! :)Stupid me...I did not see the previous post, so it looks like a TownePlace Suites. Is $79 a decent grab for this hotel or should I wait a bit longer?
thereuare Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding!Assuming this ID is correct, hotel direct rates are $140/nite, so this would at least seem to offer signficant savings vs. a conventionally booked rate, so it comes down to whether this hotel suits your needs and what you're looking for from your stay....If you're very flexible and some aspects of the hotel aren't important to you then you may be able to do a little better on PRICELINE... but you wont' be able to take any guess as to the hotel you might receive before your purchase. As well, assuming correct on the Towneplace Suites, they offer complimentary breakfast (the PRICELINE hotel you receive may or may not) and also offer complimentary wireless internet access in public areas, i'm not sure about in the rooms (but internet may come with a fee at a PRICELINE hotel)If you do like this hotel then i wouldn't sit on it too long due to the length of your stay... if just one nite fills up and/or has a higher price, it could negatively impact the price of your entire stay. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help.
