weather1 Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 What are the chances for getting 3 rooms in TS? I haven't read of any 3 room success stories and I wonder if hotels release more than 1 or 2 rooms at a time? We will wait until closer to the date unless you think we might have a chance. We would prefer a 4* under $300, but will pay up $350. We have a backup plan for Hilton Garden Inn in TS @$379.00 per night which is only a 3*, but allows us a king size bed and we can cancel within 24 hours without penalty. There is a 4* Doubletree in TS for $379., but it's undergoing renovations in the lobby & restaurant so we don't want the hassle. We only want TS and understand free bidding zones. Thanks for any suggestions.
AaronJB Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 The link below is a Starwood deal for 2 nights, get 1 free.Stay 2 nights, get 1 freeSearch for NYC for your dates, and the Sheraton New York and Towers will be one of the hotels on the list. Select 3 rooms w/2 adults per room and you should have an option for $399 per night for the first 2 nights, 3rd night free. $798 total (per room) divided by 3 nights = $266 average per night. This is a NON-REFUNDABLE special, but it would get you three rooms under $300 right near TS.
AaronJB Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 There's also a 4* in MTE for $259 on HOTWIRE for these dates, too - with the amenities: Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Tennis. This would be a potential match for either the Intercontinental Barclay or Grand Hyatt. While not right near TS, both are nice properties. The Hotwire deal page has a 4/5 tripadvisor rating for the property, which would make me think that, out of the two, it's more likely the Intercontinental. Please use the site's HOTWIRE link if this is of interest.
weather1 Posted August 4, 2008 Author Report Posted August 4, 2008 Thanks Aaron,We have looked at the buy 2,get3 with Starwood, but only the W hotel in TS is available for $1450. with tax. Really would like to bid on PRICELINE for our rooms, but I'm not sure if 3 rooms are ever released at one time. Will use HOTWIRE as a last resort and use your link of coarse.

weather1 Posted August 5, 2008 Author Report Posted August 5, 2008 Yes, $1106 is per room and the location and star rating is exactley where we want to be. So given that I wouldn't want to spend more that $250.00 before tax.
