I have been bidding for the last 5 days or so for these dates. I was targeting Kensington and was hoping to get room for $80-85 per night. I started bidding at $80 and was offered a rebid if I offered $135. I declined and rebid $85 the next day. Same result, and then again the same the day following. I then decided to also bid Bloomsbury and Regent Park. I bid $85 in each of those zones in the same session (opening and closing the PRICELINE site), and then bid based on permutations (zone a + b; a + c; a + b + c), up to $95 as that was my limit. I started bidding today with the Kensington zone at $85, expecting to again get the $135 counteroffer: my bid was accepted. A good price, though I expect I could have bid a little lower. I have won this hotel before and thought it was perfectly fine--nothing fancy but decent. Pluses are a great location and the fridges in the rooms.

The Copthorne Tara site is showing a lowest rate of 80 GBP for my dates.
