I have bid on successive days $130 and $140 for November 20 -22 in Sydney with no success. I don't see a way to get around the 24 hour wait. While the list of hotels on thjis site does not have any 2* hotels in this area and have been unable to prove there aren'tany in Priceline. I may be doing something wrong.

With your stay not until November, why not just wait out the 24 hours... why take any unnecessary risk of adding 'live' zones?

Tried $150 and it came back with a counter to add $25. Decided to try again tomorrow.

At least now you know the "right" price is currently somewhere between $151 and $175.
