Stevey99
Trying for 1 Saturday night (7/17/04) in Vegas. Seems to be a crowded weekend. Anyway, a 4-star "Resort" came up for $106 Downtown. Is this the Golden Nugget or is there another place Downtown that considers itself a resort? (It was $100 about 5 minutes before.) Other ideas? Thanks! Link to comment

thereuare
Based upon our HOTWIRE LAS VEGAS HOTEL LIST it exactly matches the Golden Nugget and i believe that to be the property. Stevey99
2 Nevada Topics/QuestionsBased on this great website, I got an Embassy Suites room in Lake Tahoe for Aug. 19 for $82 + fees ($100 total). When I went back to try and get another room for my brother, Embassy Suites (or at least the amenities) did not come up. Is there any chance it will appear again for that night? Now back to my Vegas Saturday night (7/17/04), there is a room on Hotwire coming up "Near Strip East" for $89 withSuite, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Complimentary Breakfast, Business Center, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Laundry Facilities (self-service)This sounds like an Embassy Suites to me. Any other possibilities? Thanks again! Link to comment
thereuare
Please post your Embassy Suites win as a new thread along with the amenities assoiciated iwith it. Include in that thread the question regarding the second room for your brother and i will answer it there.I'll take a closer look at this suite hotel you're now seeing but if you haven't seen this HOTWIRE LAS VEGAS thread you may want to give it a read. In that thread there is also link to another thread for some really great deals at the Coast chain of hotels... if the deal is offered for your dates and you're willing to stay off-strip i don't think you can do much better. Stevey99
Just as a follow up...Saturday, 7/17 - ended up at Golden Nuggett for $92 bid on Priceline. Hotwire had this at $107 at the time. No line at check in - they let us check in at noon. Very nice room. Also that weekend - Sunday, 7/18 - stayed at Venetian for $99 Priceline bid. Very, very nice. Both hotels made for an enjoyable weekend. Link to comment
