Midwest_Traveler Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 PRICELINE was showing 3* Airport as the "Best Value" for the area. HOTWIRE was showing the lowest 3* or 3.5* hotel in the area was the Sheraton North at $66.Bid 3* for various combinations of University, Downtown, Airport, and North using Ft. Not sure why Priceline would show the 3* airport as the Best Deal, unless it is the best % off the regular rate, not the lowest price for that class.
thereuare Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 Congratulations on your win... nicely done!I'm not sure what criteria are used for the "best value" (likely percentage and dollar off) but it's possible that the Airport showing up as the best value was based upon a hotel at a different star class. Thanks for sharing your win with the board and for using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
