gocougs23 Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 I'm new to Priceline and to this site. I'm trying to book a 4 start hotel in downtown Seattle for one night on 8/9. I submitted 4 bids, raising it up to $150 before I found out about this site. I haven't bid on any other zones or stars and I don't really want to go any higher than $150. Is there a specific strategy I should take?
thereuare Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding! If you're bidding up to your maximum and not being accepted there's not much you can do other than:-wait it out and try again-lower your star rating-add other nearby zonesI'll note that HOTWIRE has a 4* hotel in the Downtown Pike Place zone for $183/nite, so you're probably not too far off with your $150 bid... another $5 or $10 may just be enough to secure a 4* hotel for your nite above, but not sure if you'd prefer to do that, wait it out and try again, or lower your star rating.Let us know your thoughts regarding the options and we'll take it from there. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
