dogbone Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 Hi everyone. I'm a new so I'd appreciate any advice. We're heading to NY from Aug 17-20 and I'd like to bid. Just not exactly sure of how to start. We're looking in these areas...MTE, Central Park South. Willing to spend $150 for 3* $200 for 4* Is this feasible? Thanks for your help.
dogbone Posted July 29, 2008 Author Report Posted July 29, 2008 I am going to be using PRICELINE. I have tried $175 for a 4* - no luck right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
thereuare Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding! Is the a reason you're avoiding the other midtown zones (Times Square, MTW, ESB) at the 4* level? I think $200 may be a tough win so by including as many acceptable zones as possible you increase the number of possible hotels that can accept your bid.Quikbook does have 6 Columbus Circle for $239/nite (great hotel but small rooms) and the Fitzpatrick Grand Central for $249/nite... both of these are cancellable up until a few days before your stay and you might want to book either as a cancellable back up.Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. (or our Quickbook link if you use it for a cancellable back-up) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
