pouriya Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 Hello, Just wanted to let you know that I got Hilton Millennium in NYC for 3 nights (Aug 26-29 2008) for 166$/night plus taxes for two rooms. Although I wanted to get something in central part of Manhattan and I don't know exactly what happened that I got SoHo (as far as I remember I did not choose SoHo strict), but I am happy with what I got. The only problem is that it seems that the noise from Ground Zero constriction might be disterbing. I am just curious to know in this case that this hotel has some sort of special condition is it possible to cancel the deal with priceline? Also does anybody know that what is the cheapest option to get to this hotel from La Guardia airport?Thank you very much,This is an excellent website and I used the provided PRICELINE link to book my hotel.
thereuare Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding!Congratulations on your win! If you don't think you added the Downtown zone to your bidding you can contact PRICELINE and they will send you a screenshot of the zones selected when you placed your bid (or cancel it if you didn't include this zone)... this would probably be a better route to take if you think you didn't include this zone, although you could certainly complain about the construction in front of the hotel if you so desire. The cheapest option from LGA to the hotel is almost always mass transit as it only costs ~$2.25 total, but it's not that convenient as it involves taking a bus and a subway, and even less do-able if you have a lot of luggage. How many of you are there traveling? Thanks for using our PRICELINE links to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
espnguy Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 I actually stayed at this hotel this past weekend. Although the noise was there, I honestly say it was not THAT bad. I asked for a high floor at check in since I was also concerned about the noise and they accomodated me. Upon arrival in the room, they had a letter apologizing for the construction noise and a package of air plugs. A plus is the spacious rooms by NYC standards! Just thought I would share my very recent hotel stay experience with this hotel.
