osumelissa Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 I can't even tell you what a nightmare it was using Priceline and Hotwire to find a reasonably priced NYC hotel. We tried for over two weeks on Priceline for a hotel and when we attempted to book via Hotwire, we would get all the way to the end (put in credit card info and said book hotel) and then it would say nothing was available.Yesterday (two days before we were leaving), I finally had success on Priceline. We ended up with the 3 star Hudson Hotel. I can't remember our bid history, but basically we had almost every area in Manhattan selected and even went down to the 2.5 star level! I'm glad it all worked out...I'll try and post a review of the Hudson when we get back.
thereuare Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 Thank you for sharing your win with the board. The Hudson gets decent reviews, but the rooms are notoriously small... not much room for much other than the bed. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay.
