JRoglitz Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 We will be looking soon for a hotel in NYC TS for February for 2 nights. We are flexible with days of the week. What are the best days of the week to get the best deals? I always thought weekends would be more, but I think I read on here that weekdays are more expensive. Thanks!
thereuare Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 Generally speaking weekends are a bit easier than midweek stays in NYC, but February is slow season so i wouldn't expect there to be too much of an issue based upon historical trends (excluding Valentine's Day and the day before and after).Let us know once your plans are firm and you're ready to begin bidding and we'll help you with a suggested strategy at that time. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. JRoglitz Posted July 31, 2008 Author Report Posted July 31, 2008 Thank you so much! Right now we are thinking of February 26th and 27th or 27th and 28th. I guess we should wait til it gets closer to bid.
thereuare Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 If your plans are firm you could start bidding now... just try to lowball and make sure you don't overbid. Also, i should add to the above that Sundays are the slowest hotel day of the week, so you can usually pick up great deals on Sunday nite too (maybe make a 3 day weekend out of it?)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
