I'm currently in Chicago and loving every minute of it, so I decided to stay two nights longer.

Here's what I attempted today on Priceline - to no avail.

1. $90 Mag. Mile - 4 stars

2. $95 - Added Loop

3. $96 - Added Lincoln Park

4. $97 - reduced star rating to 3 stars

5. $100 - same areas and star ratings

Any advice you can give me is greatly appreciated.

I'm currently at the Palmer House Hilton, which I got for $95 back in May...

Thanks a million!

I don't think you're far off, but at the same time, you do not have many more bidding opportunities.

But first, have you tried the "extend your stay" option on Priceline to see if you can't get a couple more nights at the PH?

Glad you're enjoying the city! :)

I just tried that and it didn't work... will try again later.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Well, would you prefer staying in the Loop or would you like to try staying in the Mag Mile area?

I would recommend upping the bid to $115, or $120 if possible for a 4* in either area. I'm not sure what's going on on these two days, but there does appear to be a convention or other event taking up a significant amount of rooms, resulting in higher rates.
