Welcome to BetterBidding!

We don't have a positive ID on either of these properties but here are my best guesses:

The 3* could be the Hyatt High Sierra Lodge as it seems to fit the amenities listed very well.

The 4* could either be the Resort at Squa Creek or the Hyatt Regency. Both fit the amenities listed... but also have other amenities that could/should be included (Spa, Casino, etc).

Hope that helps somewhat.

Let us know what you ultimately decide to do (even if it's not Priceline/Hotwire) or if we can be of any further help.

Hotwire could still have access to inventory with the Hyatts being sold-out... but it makes those properties much less likely possibilities (ie- it's possible that Hotwire has inventory as we've seen both Priceline and Hotwire have inventory when the hotels are sold-out, but it is rare and the exception not the rule)

In researching further i also discovered that the Resort at Squaw Valley also has a Squaw Valley Lodge... and maybe these are the 3* and 4* properties (it would seem to make sense with these being the only two listed on Hotwire for these dates and them being 'sister' properties). The Squaw Valley Lodge does not have an on-site restaurant... nor does Hotwire show a restaurant icon :)

Of the hotels i could find these seem like decent possibilities, but if you absolutely cannot afford to be on the CA side (i don't know the area so i don't know the negative ramifications associated with it) then Hotwire may not be the best option for this stay.

Well, that North Lake Tahoe zone on Hotwire is HUGE; on a busy day it would take at least an hour to drive from one end of it to the other. One end is much more convenient when taking I-80 from the west, where the other is far better when coming from Reno. And Squaw Valley is several miles from anything, except for the specialty stores there.

When I typed in "squaw valley, ca" into Hotwire the only match it came up with was Amsterdam. Yes, *that* Amsterdam. I had to use "lake tahoe, nv" instead. :)
