aaronmidnight Posted July 19, 2008 Report Posted July 19, 2008 Started bidding around $70/night for a 4* and raised bids by $5/night every 24 hours for a week or so.(Brussels does not have any free rebid zones.) Prices seem to be extremely high that week (maybe the Eurocrats are back in session?) and the exchange rate doesn't help of course.Bid $120 last night and received an immediate counteroffer telling me I could add $22 to my bid and bid again without changing anything (dates, zones, etc.). Tried adding just $10, but was told that I must add $22 to rebid.Added the $22 and received the 4* Sheraton. I'm pretty excited about this win since I'll still be saving around 60% off the hotel's lowest advertised rate of $363 for that night. :) Tax and fees added about another $25/night to the bill, so total ended up being around $167/night.
