TheWanderer
Searching Hotwire for a Strip hotel from 10/4-10/8 I saw a 3.5* for $99/night. Amenities are casino, restaurant, pool, fitness ctr, high-speed internet, business ctr., tennis & spa.I checked packages for same dates and two 3.5* hotels show up - Embassy Suites which is off-strip and Harrah's which, based on expensive package price, seems way too expensive to be $99/night. Anyone have any idea what hotel this could be? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. :) Link to comment

It's probably also too early to see any great deals in the Vegas area for October.I'm showing a different 3.5* hotel than you are for your dates (it's possible), but before i research it further please double check that you have the star rating and amenities correct (as i show a 4* around the same price with an internet icon) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
TheWanderer
Hi, thanks for the welcome and the heads-up on the conventions.I forgot to mention in my earlier post that my search was for 2 rooms. I think this is why we came up with different 3.5* hotels. I just checked hotwire again and it still shows the hotel I mentioned in my original post. By the way, when I ran my search for one room I did see the hotel you were referring to. Any idea what either hotel could be? Thanks again. Link to comment
thereuare
My thoughts are that unless you get some incredible deal thru Priceline/Hotwire, it's too early to book a non-cancellable reservation for Vegas... but i would back a cancellable back-up.For your dates my eyes were quickly drawn to the cheaper 4* rather than the 3.5* property you originally asked about. Based upon our HOTWIRE LAS VEGAS HOTELS I think the 4* hotel is likely the Aladdin. However, you can book the Aladdin directly at their website for $109 (not much savings over the Hotwire rate). This will give you a back-up hotel to monitor while you wait for rates to come down... if they happen to go up then at least you're locked in at lower rates. Another alternative back-up hotel is Bally's which is availalbe for $99/nite. Both of these are available direct from the hotel websites and i believe are cancellable until 48 or 72 hours before arrival... but confirm the cancellation policy with either hotel before you book. TheWanderer
Thanks for all your help. I'm going to follow you advice and book the Aladdin as a back-up (after confirming their reservations are cancellable). Will check back with Hotwire as the dates draw near.Thanks. Link to comment
mrtoledo
I just booked the same dates at the Monte Carlo, they also have a $99 rate if you book on the website. Link to comment
