Priceline Hotel: 4* San Juan (Rio Grande-Humacao) Gran Melia

I was trying to get a 3* in San Juan for this date since I have business (nothing urgent) there and was using Rio Grande as a re-bid zone thinking that I wouldn't come across such a good deal. Luckly I will have a car so I will have to add some driving time to my trip oh well sometimes thats the price you pay using priceline. On a more positive note I have stayed at the Gran Melia in Cancun and was more than satisfied with this hotel and the pictures of the pool look great. I was considering staying at this hotel for the other nights of my stay because they have a web special of $99. I did not see this hotel on the list of hotel priceline uses on better bidding. I will post my results for the rest of the trip in a few days once I win a bid for those days.

I'm never in favor of adding "live" zones as psuedo re-bid zones since you really never know what will be accepted in a given area. As well, in this area there are plenty of re-bid zones, and you had time before your stay, that i don't think it was necessary to take the risk of adding Rio Grande.

At least you have a car so can make this work for your needs and are happy with the deal.
