Same deal as other post got earlier in the week...bid 41,43,45,48 with rebids, got at $48...$15 parking is steep for the area, but the hotel is nice...may need to extend stay, if I try "add a night feature" will post reply if that is successful.

$48+12.99=$60.99

(with parking will be $75.99, though...wish there were a way for PRICELINE to include 'parking in cost' as a bidding option...but best direct deal I found was a AAA rate including breakfast for 120.99, which would be 135.99 with parking, so still a great deal)

Of course, linked through to PRICELINE from this site...thanks!

Congratulations on your win!

Glad to hear you're happy with the results and the information on the board was helpful in your bidding.

While parking costs are an 'issue', i would first prefer to see mandatory charges (resort fees, safe use, etc) included in hotel rates in general, not just bidding... then they can figure out how to incorporate optional charges (such as parking, internet, etc) into the rates since guests can elect not to use such services.

Thanks for sharing your win with the board and for using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.

Enjoy your stay.

I agree parking can't be universally bundled in, since not all travellers need it...And I REALLY agree on the 'unavoidable' or "junk" fees...not sure why it is even legal for a hotel to accept your reservation for a paid rate of $100 and when you arrive they say "plus a non-negotiable resort fee of $20" (I understand fees for optional things, of course, or sensible "if-used fees", but if it's part of the actual base rate they should have to charge that upfront, even if the hotel wants to itemize the final rate components for some reason. PRICELINE could insist on that practice, of course, but obviously they don't. It's especially bad with Priceline, because you can't just walk to the hotel next door without losing what you already paid.)...it feels especially like extortion when a hotel is already holding your $100. I don't think an appliance store could get away with advertising a washing machine for $500 and after you pay for it have the guy who delivers it say, "Oh, by the way, if you want a motor in it, it'll be an extra $300..."

There is FREE parking across the street at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. There are three hotels there (a fourth is under construction). The Crowne Plaza charges a resort fee that covers parking, but the Marriott Suites and the 2.5* (guess) "inn" has free parking, they all share the same lot. I did this last time, very short walk after you drop off luggage. Only worth it if you want to save the parking fee.
