Flalisa Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 My family will be traveling to Boston on 7/28 and need a room/rooms for three nights.I would like to stick with 4* in the Copley area or Quincy area. What I have found via websites of known Priceline using hotels, the rates range from $288-$415 for the Quincy area and $229-$329 for Copley/Theater District for those dates.I couldn't find any availability in the Waterfront area on those nights at the 4* hotels.I also have the dilemma of deciding if I want to bid for two rooms in case we get stuck with a hotel with a one bed only scenario (and I've seen several of those hotels with that as the only option) or take my chances. My husband, myself and our two sons, 16 and 12, will be going. There is no way that the two boys can even share a bed anymore so we would still be looking at a rollaway or bringing an air mattress and hoping there would be enough room.Would my luck be better waiting another few days or a week? I would have quite a few rebids because of the Boston areas that don't have 4* choices plus the waterfront probably not coming up (and even if it did it wouldn't be the worse thing in the world).Any help would be greatly appreciated! Lisa
thereuare Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 Would my luck be better waiting another few days or a week?See the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ.If you don't want to stay in the Waterfront zone then i wouldn't use that zone as part of your bidding strategy... no need to take any unnecessary risk (unless you were willing to stay in this area).Let us know once you decide how many rooms you decide to bid for (i'm guessing 2 rooms for if they're not even able to share a bed, what if you get a room with only one bed, what if a room with two beds and no rollaways, or no space for a rollaway... if they were able to share a bed i would still consider it risky, but to be hoping for two beds plus a rollaway i think increases the risk... but it's your stay and yo uknow your family best) let us know your maximum budget and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
