geoman23
I've been bidding for a 4* on this one for weeks and haven't been able to secure it. Bid 4* up to $150 for the downtown zone and was rejected.Dropped to a 3* (started a new bid) and tried the San Diego Coastal zone up to $125 and was rejectedAdded the downtown zone (3*) and dropped to $110 - accepted on first offer. Rates on the hotel website are $199 (and hotwire seems to have the property for $159)It looks like priceline has dropped this hotel to a 3* (You might want to make the change in your priceline hotel list as it currently lists it at 4*)We're staying 4 nights in San Diego and ended up splitting my bid each night for 4 separate hotels.Used the PRICELINE link from this site. Thanks to all who post to this board!Saturday August 2 to Sunday August 3, 2008Offer Price $110Taxes and Fees: $22.46Total: $132.46 Link to comment

Colfax
This downgrade is good news for 4* bidders who don't like staying on Harbor Island because it's not really in Downtown San Diego. With the Harbor Island Hilton and Sheraton both rated 3* there's currently no longer any chance of ending up on Harbor Island when bidding the 4* level. Link to comment
