Jax4 Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 This one took adding Friday night 7/18 which I preferred to hold off on until the end of the week. Went up to $55 in combinations of 1, 2 and 3 nights starting Tuesday night, then just decided to add the 4th night. Still, best 3* quality room to book direct near ONT was $109 so a solid value nonetheless. Hyatt Place was $135, Ayres (2.5*) $109-119, this Marriott direct is essentially $149 during the week. Doubletree $149-159, Hilton north of I-10 around the same. Then you get down to the 2* level in the $75-90 range. As the maximum value of points in hotel loyalty programs typically is no better than around $10 to maybe $15 night, depending on your level in program, Priceline is still one of the best values out there.$49/night - 4 nights - $196 or $228.90 with fees - just over an inclusive $57/night. Inclusive above $125 or so minimum.PRICELINE link used.
thereuare Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 Interesting to see how adding the Friday nite brought the average rate down enough to succeed at a lower bid than has previously been rejected. Thanks for the report and for using our PRICELINE link.Enjoy your stay.
