Priceline Hotel: PRAGUE bidding help

Hi

I am looking to stay in prague for 3 nights from 21 october. Want to be as close to tourist central prague as possible (1st visit). Happy to pay up to $150 US per night before taxes. Could you suggest a bidding strategy please?

As the East zone is currently the one zone offering 5* bidding, i assume you're comfortable with a hotel anywhere within this zone? You have two re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

(NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc)

Select 5* East...

Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $120, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINE.

Select 5* East and re-bid zone2...

Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $130.

update : i have tried the above strategy for the last 3 days now with no success yet. im thinking it just may be too early for october ??? i intend to try again in a few days.

Have you increased your bidding up to $150 or have you continued with the same $130 each time?

i have kept the initial bids the same and only varied the last bid - once going to 155.

I just checked rates directly at the Marriott website and i'm showing rooms at $500+ per nite for the dates above... i don't think $150 will be enough if rates direct from the hotel remain this high.
