Thanks for you quick reply regarding my question of a Canadian address for Priceline. I really would like to try Priceline. We are going to be in Fort Lauderdale on Aug.22 for one night. I was hoping to try for a 4 or 3 star in either the beach area or downtown. Thanks.

Would you rather go cheaper for a 3* or more expensive for a 4*.... in other words, what's more important, price or star level?

I think this is a pre-cruise stay (correct me if i'm wrong) and if so i'd probably target the Downtown zone before the Beach zone as it's more convenient from the airport and to the pier... but if you're really into beaches than perhaps you would choose to do otherwise.

You have 2 RE-BID ZONES (feel free to confirm them with us if you're usnure of which ones they are). If i were in your shoes i would bid as follows (given my own preferences regarding price vs. star rating):

Select 3* Downtown Ft. Lauderdale and...

Bid $53, if rejected add re-bid zone and...

Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone and...

Bid $60.

I'd be hoping for the Embassy Suites with the above strategy but even if the Marriott is received it too gets good reviews. If you prefer the beach zone let us know and we'll post an alterante strategy for that area (where i would go for a 4*, hearing good things about the Hyatt Pier 66)
