AtomicLush Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 I am not sure why they call this part of the "North Shore" because it is clearly not...it's west of the 294 highway.Candlewood Suites Chicago Northbrook North Shore8000 Capitol Drive Wheeling, Illinois 60090 847-520-1684Check-In Date:Sun, Jul 20, 2008 / After 03:00 PMCheck-Out Date:Sat, Aug 2, 2008 / 12:00 PM Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $35.00 Subtotal: $455.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $67.78 Total Charges*: $522.78
thereuare Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 Thank you for sharing your win with the board.Sorry if you're not happy with the hotel's location, but sometimes the zone boundaries are different than what is locally considered to be the named area, just as boundaries sometimes go beyond the city limits of the zone's name... the boundaries of the map are the determining factor as to where the hotel can be. Although this property is west of 294, PRICELINE's zone extends beyond Rte. 294 as well. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay. derbbre Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 I used to live in the area. While the phrase "North Shore" may be misleading, frequently Glenview, Northbrook, and even Wheeling are considered to be in the "North Shore" area, even though none of those towns have a shore. So -- HOTWIRE has got it right.Just information for others.
