Priceline Hotel: 4* Chicago (Millenium-Loop-Grant Park) Blackstone Renaissance

My husband and I will be spending our first anniversary in Chicago (if anyone has ideas for a romantic evening, feel free to let me know) for the weekend of July 25th.

Rejected

I first searched for 4* in Loop-Grant Park for $99.

I then added River North and increased to $116 based on some postings I've read.

I increased to $129 and was offered to increase my bid by $22 to get a room then

but I opted to add Lincoln Park (supposedly easy way to get a free rebid) and increased to $135 which was then accepted at the Renaissance Blackstone on S Michigan Ave.

While the Blackstone is a little out-of-the-way in the South Loop (although it's a quick walk through Grant Park to the museums), I think you're going to find it to be a very good hotel for the occasion - it's a lovely, grand, old-fashioned hotel that underwent a very extensive renovation by Marriott after the hotel was closed for several years.
