I try a lot of bids on 4/5* hotels in Hamburg from 29.Sept - 02.Okt 2008

on pricline. ( $ median_prices here on Betterbidding)

but at the moment there is no accepts !

maybe the "check in" date is to far in the future ?

How high have you bid already? If you tried for a 5* first and then for a 4*, how high did you bid for each?

the first bid was 91 USD for the 5* the following bid for the 4* was 69USD

i try now every day in the same range.

? is the 24h waiting time between to bids the the right time or ist the 72h rule ?

what can i do?...only waiting.. ?

The lockout period between bids is 24 hours.

Rates are dates specific, you just can't look at a previous win on the board expect to duplicate that price. If you look at some of the dates when the Marriott was won for under $70 (where the stay has not yet been completed so you can look up rates), the hotel's website rate is 139EUR. Then compare that to your own stay where the current rate is 199EUR.

ist my "check in date to far in the future 29.Sept-02.Oct.2008 ! These are approx. 14 weeks

could this be a matter for my "bad luck" ??

As discussed above, the issue is that rates for your dates are higher than when others have won at the levels you are bidding... since rates for your dates are higher than usual, it would seem logical that your dates would require a higher than usualy bid as well.

Nobody can say if rates will go down, or up, between now and your stay, but for mroe info you can see the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ.

so many bids for this 3 Nights ...and this is the result ! this is just a "normal Price" where you can book it everywere.

at this time : priceline "name your own price" ist not realy working and I don`t no why ?

my accept bid was 136 USD + 5 USD for a "reward" = 408.- + Tax/fee 81,01 $ =489,01$

Sorry to hear this one didn't work to your satisfcation.

Your previous post indicated you had bid up to $69 for a 4* hotel... did you jump right to $141? What was the amount of your previously rejected bid at the 4* level before this acceptance?

the 4* was rejected at 131$ !

after this bid i try the 5* and 4* indepentendly.... no chance... but ....anyway
