Priceline Hotel: 3* Seattle (Airport SEA) Doubletree

Over the course of several days I probably made well over 100 bids trying to get a downtown Seattle hotel on the above dates. I do not recall the details regarding the first set of dates, but for 7/27-29/08 I bid up to $135 for a 4*, $110 for a 3*, and $90 for a 2 and 1/2*. I also bid up to $75 for a 2 and 1/2* in the Lake Union area and $75 for a 3* in the University area. All of these bids were unsuccessful. I finally gave up and ended up with the 3* Doubletree at the airport for $60 on both sets of dates, 7/16-18 and 7/27-29.

Glad to hear you found something at a great price, but if you find yourself in a similar siutation in the future i'd suggest asking the board for help. While rates for these dates are very high, users here can often help come up with something which meets your needs and budget, and i don't think the airport is a great choice for visiting 'downtown' seattle. (but without knowing your specific needs perhaps this will work well for you)
