Hotwire Hotel: 4* Austin (Downtown-Town Lake) Omni

Jumped too soon on this one. Considering most of the 4*'s downtown have the same amenities, hard to tell which is which.

Amenities: Fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, hi-speed internet.

For some reason bought each night seperately...$115/nite...total w/taxes and fees...$273.54.

Omni website quoting $480 for both nites.

Not sure if you're disappinted in this one, but the savings seem very good... hopefully it's one of the better properties in the area at this star rating (and hi-speed internet is free with their loyalty program)

I love this Omni, and I hope you will, too. If you haven't joined Select Guest, do so when you check in and begin reaping the benefits immediately. You'll have beverages and newspaper delivered to your room every morning at the time of your choosing; just ask for the "door hangers" after signing up. The staff at this Omni are very HOTWIRE friendly and have often upgraded me even though I've booked through HOTWIRE.

Been a Select Member since my first Omni stay a few years ago. The morning beverage service and free internet are definite pluses.

I've already called and they already had me in a king room, and I just requested a high floor. They seem accomodating.

Looking forward to lunch at Shady Grove and commando bar hopping/clubbing.

Always look forward to visiting the Mother of all Whole Foods.

And you can't beat the Airport Express bus that can get you from the airport to downtown for 50 cents.
