thereuare Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 Sounds like it'll do quite nicely for a few days stay.Nice to see you taking some time for yourself (for a change). Thanks for posting it and as always thank you for your steadfast support. thesqueegeekid Posted June 27, 2004 Author Report Posted June 27, 2004 Thanks thereuare ... the hotel is great indeed. I was just sitting out on my poolside balcony thinking "I can't believe this hotel only cost me $25 a night" and remembering that first day way way back I saw my first "congratulations, you got your ... and we've upgraded" (3* Hilton Gateway Newark ... $49 ... I would have been happy getting a Day's Inn for that price).Priceline, just keeps getting better and cheaper with age, wisdom, betterbidding.com and of course, unused hotel inventory!!! :)
bbbb Posted June 27, 2004 Report Posted June 27, 2004 Very nice location, close to old town Scottsdale.Hows the heat treating you?Have a nice trip and if you have any area questions just ask.
thesqueegeekid Posted June 28, 2004 Author Report Posted June 28, 2004 Thanks bbbb, I am here with my fiance, she's been an Arizonan for 20-some years ...The heat .... actually, not as bad as I thought .... I didn't even realize it was 108 today until I read the paper tonight. This is my fourth trip here however, it was my first time I got to really relax and see the sights. I love that restaurant "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" ... went to the new one here in Old Town.I may be moving here in a couple of weeks, I have some interviews this coming week. The great thing about the US (compared to my 30 years of living in Canada) is how cheap it is to fly anywhere >>>SouthWest<<< ... so, at least I'll never feel trapped in the desert!!!
