The $155 4* for only one night the night after led me to Priceline whre I won the Hilton Metropole for $115 (26% less than Hotwire) for one night and then complimented that with the Holiday Inn Earls Court for the arrival night. This worked out good as one in party arriving to Gatwick at 7:00 and other to Heathrow at 12:30 and this Holiday Inn is a 32 minute trip from both with train from Gatwick and Picadilly Line Tube from Heathrow. Anybody know why I have lost the trip advisor information in the Hotel Information section. Although this hotel was easily identified I would have liked that assistance in making sure of the Hilton Metropole? I had it with all searches until Sunday of this past week. Any changes or is it just me? MadFlyer Posted July 2, 2008 Author Report Posted July 2, 2008 Just wanted to add as there was a discussion in another thread about this hotel changing pricing both during and directly following a successful purchase. I had origionally been checking a 2 night stay at this hotel. The 2 night rate was $125+ and the first night $79 and second night $125 seperately. Following my booking the rate went up to $125 for both nights again. Now, just after Midnight London time the single night rates have changed to $105 and the 2 night stay has lowered to $103 per night. This seems to indicate the use of automated inventory software that quotes the price for this hotel and thus can lead to turbulant rate swings as was indicated in another thread. The same has been evident here. This hotel did not appear here until just today as I have been checking with frequency in recent weeks.
