Just wanted to post my review of Le Meridien Etoile from my visit in December (sorry it's 6 months late).

The hotel room was very "HoJo" and we didn't understand how the hotel got that fourth star...until we went into their highly priced yet sheikly-decorated (sp?) restaurant. The lobby was also very ultra modern. Our hunch is that they gave us a "Priceline room", and my recommendation would be to try to upgrade as other visitors there told us their upgraded executive room was terrific (I've also read to that effect on other website like trip advisor).

All in all, it's in a good location with a good neighborhood and a metro station within walking distance, so for the right price and the right person I would recommend it. By right person, I mean:

Recommended for: casual traveler, backpacker, first timer

Not Recommended for: romantic getaway
