sevenharmons
Will be traveling to DC July 17-27 and would love to have a hotel with a pool. Want at least a three star hotel close to the national mall. So...where should I start? Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! To begin..-what is the total occupancy of your group (adults/children)-how many rooms are you seeking-what is your maximum budget (per nite per room before fees and taxes)-what is the minimum star rating you're willing to accept-which zones are you willing to stay inLet us know the above and we'll take it from there. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. bellisq
I would suggest you check out crystal City and other close VA suburban areas. DC is a major city and has very few hotels with pools. There is an excellent subway system, Metro that will get you easily to the public sites. Link to comment

thereuare
Few issues to discuss/make sure you're aware of...PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy (you'll be triple occupancy in one room and quad occupancy in the other). It's possible that the hotel could give you a room(s) with only one bed, which wouldn't be enough for your group. As well, there is no way to guarantee a pool with your PRICELINE bid... you could receive any hotel at the minimum star rating your select in the zone. While it may cost a little more, HOTWIRE allows you to search for up to quad occupancy per room and also shows you the amenities offered by the hotel beforehand so you can determine if there is a pool on the premises or not. I would start by searching HOTWIRE and seeing which areas around DC offer a 3* or higher hotel with a pool and within your budget... from there we can try to help identify the hotel and you can make a decision which will be best for your needs. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Thoughts?
