Thanks for the info. Based on this Priceline Los Angeles thread, I was able to buy a room at the same price for Jun 27 (tonight).

First bid $50 2.5* Redondo-Manhattan Beach --> rejected

Second bid $52 2.5* Redondo-Manhattan Beach & Santa Monica - Marina Del Rey --> rejected

Third bid $53 2.5* Redondo-Manhattan Beach & Santa Monica - Marina Del Rey & Lawndale --> accepted and upgraded to 3*.

I almost paid $69 on HOTWIRE for a room at this same hotel before I came to my sense and checked this board. Thanks again everyone!
