jfdb24 Posted June 26, 2008 Report Posted June 26, 2008 Ok, I need a hotel for central London July 31-Aug 3. After a great experience using the links on this site to book a Heathrow hotel on Hotwire, I'm using it again for the rest of my stay.Any help deciphering where the following offers are at? (And these aren't ALL the hotels that came up :)4* for $150 in Kensington - Chelsea - KnightsbridgeFitness CenterRestaurant(s)Business CenterTennis NearbySpa Services4* for $161 in Mayfair-SohoFitness CenterRestaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet Access4* for $155 in Regents Park - Baker StreetFitness CenterRestaurant(s)High-speed Internet AccessTennis NearbyAny thoughts? I know there are billions of hotels in London, and all are notoriously expensive. These seem like good prices, but I've stayed at some dodgy places in London before and don't want to get burned. Thanks!
thereuare Posted June 26, 2008 Report Posted June 26, 2008 I'm not seeing the Mayfair-Soho property offer on my own current HOTWIRE search and unfortunately the other two properties have not yet been identified.Don't know if it would work for your own needs, but many board users often book in the Bloomsbury/Marble Arch zone. HOTWIRE is offering a 4* hotel in this zone for your dates for $199/nite (Restaurant, Fitness, Internet, Business). While these amenities are common for a large city hotel, the Melia White House has been reported in this zone with these amenities. As well, the TA ratings match what is provided HERE so that would be our best guess for this property.Let us know what you decide to do or if we can be of further help. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. jfdb24 Posted July 24, 2009 Author Report Posted July 24, 2009 Thanks. I ended up not booking ... crashed at a friend's house instead. Sorry for the late follow-up.
