Priceline Hotel: Bidding for Denver(Swedish Medical Center)

Will go to Swedish Medical Center for treatment from July 15 - July 18th. If I want to bid or go hotwire for hotels, any suggestions for an area close to the hospital. We will fly over there. Mostly will take the pub transportation during the stay.

I saw a 2 star hotel in tech center on hotwire for $29 and some people bidded the Extended StayAmerica Denver - Tech Center - North for $22. Is that good place to live? The 4 point sheraton is $50 for the hospital discount. But the 2 star one is only half price of that.

Also any suggestion for transportation? Or I need to rent a car. Thanks!

If you are not renting a car, I would stay in Downtown Denver. Bus service runs all the time up and down Broadway. The Denver Tech North zone is due East and Denver SW-Lakewood is due West of Swedish Medical at 501 E Hampton. Not sure about the bus service for those areas.
