Priceline Hotel: 4* Las Vegas (Strip South) The Westin Casuarina

Started bid with 4*, south strip, $55 rejected

Added north strip zone, increased bid to $60 rejected

Added airport zone, increased bid to $65 rejected

Added Summerlin-Northwest zone, increased bid to $70, accepted

I'm a little bit dissapointed that I didn't get a hotel on the strip, but I guess it's not too bad. Checked advertised rate was $109.

This hotel is also listed as 3* on tripadvisor. Hopefully it will be worthwhile.

Its almost not worth bidding on strip hotels any more with the Trump coming up at 5* and the Westin at 4* with their added resort fee. :)

PRICELINE can still be worthwhile in this area if you're willing to stay slightly off-strip, but you need to know what to expect before bidding. If one isn't willing to stay off-strip, hotwire is still a good option as it's often easy to figure out many of the higher rated hotels in this area and thereby 'know' if the hotel is directly on the strip or not (although in this circumstance HOTWIRE has more "user friendly" zone boundaries)
